So while we're in Vegas, Smokie has been at Christmas Camp in Walnut Creek. Thanks to all the Chins there.

And While in Vegas

What would a trip to Vegas be without a visit to the Bass Pro Shop. I guess only if you're into fishing, or for those who venture upstairs where the "heavy wepons" are, would you be interested. There is a casino next door so all is not lost.
For novice fishermen like Alan and I are, the fishing displays are quite impressive. Everything you would need for any type of fishing trip, and lots of it.

Off to LV for Christmas?

Yes, we're on our way to Las Vegas for Christmas.

The pit stop in Tehachapi is going well. No company for Dolly since Smokie is staying with the cousins in W Creek (Christmas camp). Hope all is going well there.

Meanwhile, Dolly is still wondering where Smokie is.

Kicking off the Holidays in a BIG way.

Last week, Herman and Alan joined Ed and Bunny at their delta home for a weekend of fishing. We thought the stripers would be biting like crazy, but boy were we wrong. The single striper we hooked was less than 6" long. We did, however, catch a boat full of black bass. . . big ones! Herman’s luck proved to be holding strong, and he landed the second biggest bass on Ed's boat this year, 5.8 pounds.

Massive thanks go to Ed and Bunny. They were gracious, as usual, and made sure we had a great time.

It looks like the stripers will only have Ed and Bunny to deal with until sometime in the new year because Herman and Alan are busy this coming weekend with Alan’s family, then we leave for Las Vegas on the 23rd and won't be back until after the new year. So we will miss all the holiday festivities in the Bay Area. :(
