Happy Kayla

She loves looking out great grandma's window into great grandpa's garden. She smiles, giggles and flaps at the swaying trees and talks to the birds. It's probably our imagination but she'll then turn around to us or look at us in the mirror to tell us she's happy.
In the warm Saturday afternoon, she enjoyed being outside, taking in the tranquility of the garden.
(We can't wait to take her to the park, as inquisitive and happy as she always is).

She's also teething (2 teeth!) and loves being the ham!

Kayla does more than just smiling!

She is just a curious and happy little one; such joy to see her changing and growing weekly. She loves her grandpa, has discovered her voice (cooing and chirping), "break-dancing" (non-stop flexing those legs)and knows just how to get smiles and laughter from us (gives attitude!).. zoom the last photo to see what we mean).

Kayla with Grand and Great-Grand parents

Smokie X Two

We had some friends over for dinner last night and they brought their Chocolate Lab named Smokie. Yes, that's two Smokies in the house. We're dog sitting Smokie for a week while they take a trip, somewhere down south.
These are friends we've known for about 15 years, and they swore they didn't know we had a Chocolate Lab namend Smokie before they bought and named their Chocolate Lab Smokie five years ago. Even though they've been over several times in the past 13 years playing with our Smokie.

I guess it's Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate.

No, This is not a before and after picture.

Our Old Smokie is looking quite old next to 5 year old Smokie. He'll be turning 13 in a couple of days.

Ching Ming

Yes, its the annual trek out to the cemeteries for "Ching Ming" (don't ask me what it means).
Again we chose the last day of the last weekend to go. It seems a lot of other people think the same way we do.

Back at the house, something to do with cellphones.
