Will + Family + Grad + Dinner + Baked Cod

Congratulations to William!

We all wish him the best in whatever he chooses to do.

Glad we could all help him celebrate.

The best thing about R & G, besides seeing and being with all the family, is the baked Cod. Although I don't believe I've had anything but a seafood heavy menu there, I'm sure everything else is good as well.

It's always a great setting but you have to wonder about those three couples sitting and eating at the top of the stairs with the hordes of people parading past them.

Happy 76 to Great Grandma

Happy Birthday to Mom (Grandmother or Great Grandmother to some). I actually found out that she's 76 now (and Dad is 84). I hope I'll remember from here on out.

That's among other things that I was corrected on tonight. Including when Dad actually came to the US as a child. I don't know where I got the information that I have been passing around for the last 40 years or so (apparently ALL wrong).

Kayla practicing for her next birthday.
Thanks Ed and Bunny for all the planning (and everything else).
And Dina for bringing the cake.

Smokie

We had a tough goodbye to Smokie this morning.

It's never easy especially when they look up at you with those sad eyes.

It's been a rough three weeks after Smokie's bout with pancreatitis.

We debated then about treating him or puting him down. The vet, of course was no help at all. Well I'm old, he said, nobody is talking about puting me down.

We'll wait until he's 100 years old, blind, deaf, and unable to eat or stand on his own before we respond to that one.

Yes indeed, old dogs are their bread and butter.

We'll miss Smokie but he's had a good long innings and we've enjoyed every moment of it.
Well maybe not the last few days.

All the action at table 14

The Paparazzi at table 14.

Sure, Lee would dance in his chair, but would he dance on the "dance floor"?

The Oakes.

Kayla, hamming it up for the camera once again.

And all the pretty people on table 17.

Then there were those people way over on table 3.

A Few More, but I know there are better "Snaps" out there.

I can't take credit for this picture of the cake. I just handed my camera to Dina and told her to take a picture of "the cake" for me.

And more of the ceremony.

Melissa and Josh are looking for a few choice "snapshots" so if you have some to share, forward them to her. We'd like to see some more too, and you can post them here as well.
